Today, I am as tired as can be. Probs because I had my work Xmas do. So lets just say cocktails and ice skating should not be mixed ;). So today I went for casual chic.....
My top is blue and white striped over sized Tshirt from H&M, my new pair of dark wash skinny jeans from Pull and Bear, and my blue and white Converses. Also, just for a mention I am wearing my Topshop brown beanie with ears (because I love it even if it makes me look about 5yrs old) :). So as you can tell its all very comfy and casual but still keeping it coordinated!
The item I want to focus on today is my lovely pair of Skinny Jeans. I am very much a dress kind of girl but I do love jeans...I just don't wear them as much. If I am wearing Jeans it has to be skinny. I believe they are the type that suit me the best and I stick to wearing the shape that flatters me at all times.
So I am in desperate need to update my Jeans closet and here is what the online stores have to offer:
Miss Selfridge Camel Super Skinny Jeans, River Island Medium Blue Tinted Distressed Skinny Jeans.
River Island Super Ripped Jeans, Topshop 70s Baxter Skinny Jeans.
Topshop Kristen High Waist Jeans, Topshop Moto Jamie Ultimate Skinny Jeans.
Topshop Moto Navy Jamie Ultimate Skinny Jeans, River Island Light Denim Ripped Skinny Jeans.
Ok, so I really should invest my time in finding new brands that feature another set of clothing but unfortunately it's the dresses that always catch my eye ;).
This brand can be found at Topshop and the name is Quontum. The dresses are all very club wear chic and feature the cut out trend quite heavily. So the for the less out going types, this might not be the brand for you :).
I have picked out a few of my fav pieces to show below and here is also the information Topshop says about the brand:
Quontum has quickly become the go-to label for scene-stealing dresses. Make a statement in thick, soft jersey, skin-tight bodycon silhouettes and attention grabbing details. Colour popping and cut-out panels are a must now that party season is just around the corner!
If you are like me and you are a closet High School Musical fan (lol) you will know who Vanessa Hudgens is! She burst on to the scene as one of Disney's up and coming kids but has become a fashionista in her own right. Not only does she look cute and sweet but she seems to have a great wardrobe too!
So the other day my friend and I were discussing blazers. As you may or may not know I am not a big fan of the dreaded suit. But strangely enough, I really like blazers (as long as they are worn as a jacket not as part of a top and bottom combo lol). So I had a look at all the different blazer out there on the high street and this is what I found....
Asos Boyfriend Blazer, Asos Tailored Contrast Lapel Cropped Tux Blazer
Miss Selfridge Black Lace Blazer (love this!), River Island Grey Leather Cropped Tux Blazer.
Topshop Premium Red Flannel Crop Back Blazer, Topshop Shrunken Ruch Sleeve Blazer.
Today I will do my what I am wearing blog as I am going out for dinner later so I did make a little bit of an effort. :)
So I am wearing my fave black winter jacket with the bow belt, my cream Max C bag which i have already featured, a black (longish) top, my (beautiful) black and gold slouch boots and finally my dark purple wet look leggings.
Now normally, I used to find wearing my wet look leggings in the day a bit strange, so this is the first time I am wearing them. But the funny thing is I never used to choose them as part of my outfits to wear out in the night.
So my question is... are wet look legging JUST leggings ?
My answer is yes :) and i believe you can wear them anytime... so I have decided I would feature leggings today and see what is around. They may be seen as an old trend but I still find leggings to be one of the best fashion items around!
Asos Embellishes Leggings, Asos Premium Weave Mesh Leggings.
Boohoo Bijou Sequined Leggings, Miss Selfridge Black Flocked Leggings,
River Island Black Treggings, River Island Black Wet Look Leggings
As per usual, I'm always on the look out for new brands and for some reason the ones with the nice dresses always catch my eye.
I found this brand called Paprika on the Asos website. They have a few dresses that caught my eye. Nothing that gets me extremely excited but the dresses are cute so it maybe a brand we need to keep our eye on....
Now I might be a little late with this footwear of choice this winter but that was because I never saw the attraction of them. I used to own a short pair from Paul Frank but I hardly used to wear them...even when the snow came. My belief was, that there wasn't much difference between wearing them and wearing any other boots.
That was until the snow came down thick and fast (and alot earlier) this year!
So, I have started to see wellies everywhere in all different colours and patterns and I have to admit they began to grow on me! So as I began searching to see what was out there that I liked. I decided to log on to the well known brand Hunter, which is the go to choice for celebs and festival goers a like and i found the most fabulous range of wellies.
Here are a few of my faves:
Carnaby Ostrich Tall (Black), Chelsea (Light Grey).
Festival Tall (Black), Hunter and Jimmy Choo (Black).
So one of the latest trends this A/W is the pointy toe shoe.... I love shoes but when it comes buying them, I buy them because they look good regardless of whether they are pointy, round toe or even square toes. However I can honestly say I do not own a pair of square toe shoes :).
I have had a more concentrated search to see if pointy toe heels are the way forwards and these are the gems that I found:
Miss KG Babylon Studded Shoe Boot, Carvela Arrest Stiletto Leopard Print Pumps, Asos Pumpkin Denim Shoes, KG by Kurt Geiger Beverly Shoes.
